Apart from all the little quirky details in her outfit like the cartoon t shirt, sequin shorts and the rabbit beanie... I really liked the oversized dress shirt that she is wearing... The bold stripes are so masculine but somehow she played it so well that no one can complain...

A Bitter Sweet Symphony...
In a few weeks to follow i'll be moving back to India for good... But my heart would always belong to New York... This city has given me so much that I can never say a final goodbye to it...
It's surprising how this street style blogging became the most important part and activity of my life... It all started with a small class room project (street style) while I was in Parsons... It took around 2 weeks of searching/ wandering/ looking for the right subject and when I did I was lacking courage to go up to a total stranger and ask for their picture... but when the first shot happened I knew it that it won't be my last... I felt a rush of emotions in me... It such an amazing feeling to wander in the streets of New York looking for well dressed people... I have learnt so much about people, their personal style and aesthetics in general... you know there are good aesthetics every where around you, one has to look at them with a neutral eye... For me this blog is not just something I love doing but a self educating tool too...
I owe a lot of gratitude to Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist whose work has inspired me the most... I remember few years back I would think that this street style blogging is way to cool and tough for a person like me... but when I started doing it myself it was not at all about being cool... All I thought whenever I held my camera in my hand was what new can I learn today about fashion or style on the streets of New York...
I have met some of the most interesting, inspiring and well dressed people while working on my blog... The way they would effortlessly style themselves was too beautiful... and these people are not just about pretty looking clothes but also with a strong point of view...
All in all it has been an absolutely delightful journey so far which I think has just begun... More is to follow!!
Adieu New York... Thanks for everything!

Beach House at Malibu & Paul Smith Stripes...
Saw this beautiful beach house at one of the beaches at Malibu... What caught my attention was it's stripe design... somehow it reminds me of signature stripes from Paul Smith... Don't you think so?

Sport Candy...
I love this look for all the good reasons... The combination of a clean white sleeveless shirt and draped skirt (grape print) gives it a very interesting and eccentric look... but thats not all... what I like the most is the element of quirk in her outfit... and that comes through lace socks (American Apparel) , black sneakers and a odd bag... somehow it all works and she is able to carry them perfectly...

After Work... An Alternate Style...
I met this handsome looking gentleman who works at Ralph Lauren a few days ago... I really liked the casual and easy look of his outfit... A good personal style is not just a specific look you have, I think it's a state of mind... Maybe it's american preppy during the work hours or a sporty casual look on the weekends...
